What is the charge for children sharing a bed?子供の添い寝の宿泊料金はどうなりますか？

What is the accommodation tax?宿泊税って何ですか？
This is a tax applied when staying at accommodation facilities in Kyoto City, based on the room rate per person per night, and it is charged to all guests including children. The current tax ranges from JPY 200 to JPY 1,000 per person, with JPY 200 applied to stays under JPY 20,000, JPY 500 for stays between JPY 20,000 and JPY 50,000, and JPY 1,000 for stays over JPY 50,000. Additionally, beginning March 1, 2026, a revised tax structure will be implemented. The new tax rate will be JPY 200 for room rates under JPY 6,000, JPY 400 for JPY 6,000 to under JPY 20,000, JPY 1,000 for JPY 20,000 to under JPY 50,000, JPY 4,000 for JPY 50,000 to under JPY 100,000, and JPY 10,000 for room rates of JPY 100,000 or more per person per night.京都市の宿泊施設をご利用いただく際にかかる税金で、ご宿泊金額に応じてお子様を含むお客様1名につき200円〜1,000円が課税されます。宿泊料金が20,000円未満の場合は200円、20,000円以上50,000円未満は500円、50,000円以上は1,000円となります。
